The beautiful natural scenery of Mount Calamita is a paradise for bikers and it is suitable to everybody as there are many different itineraries either for amateur and families with children or for disciples of bike trial .
Every year in May hundreds of bikers come to the Island to attend the Capoliveri Legend Cup along the tracks of the Capoliveri bike park that is approximately 700m from Casale Fonte di Rose.
The race was the venue of the Mountain Bike World Cup in 1994 and 2021.
And the Capoliveri Legend Cup will be the first round of the 2025 HERO UCI CROSS-COUNTRY MARATHON WORLD CUP

In the evening, in the Capoliveri old town centre you can feel an evocative atmosphere among its artist markets and craftsman’s ateliers, meetings of art, literature and poetry while extemporized concerts are held in the corners of its picturesque alleyways.
About 700m from the Casale the old mining road and the 'Bike Park' leads the visitor to one of the most enchanting placeson the Island which is a natural reserve of the Tuscan Archipelago: the Mount Calamita with its old iron mines. There you can enjoy stunning views over the Archipelago Islands. The promontory is crossed by miles of forest tracks and dirt roads perfect for doing nature walking, Nordic walking, Mountain biking 'Wild' jogging and mine trekking in an evocative landscape that becomes surreal sometimes because of the geologic characteristics of the soil which blends together with the deep colours of the blooming vegetation.Many tracks wind down towards Costa dei Gabbiani a wonderful succession of tiny, unspoilt beaches, bays and coves which are otherwise accessible by sea only.
